Optometrist Shayanta Das examined 72 students during the camp, coordinated by Nirmal Rabidas. Eight of them were diagnosed with serious eye ailments and referred to S.M. Dev Civil Hospital, Silchar, for further treatment at no cost.

The programme opened with an awareness session on eye donation, led by Rabidas and school principal Pronoy Nag.

Social workers Jantu Das and Tuhin Das also extended their support.
