Silchar: Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday paid a visit to the Silchar residence of late Kamalendu Bhattacharjee, former Rajya Sabha member, noted educationist and author.

During the visit, Dr Sarma interacted with members of the bereaved family and recalled the invaluable contributions of Bhattacharjee to society. He described the former parliamentarian as a highly respected figure in the educational and political circles of Barak Valley who devoted his entire life to the cause of education and public service.

The Chief Minister said that Bhattacharjee’s legacy will continue to inspire generations in the region.
