Submit Memo to District Magistrate

Silchar: The All Cachar Electric Auto Owners-Drivers Association on Monday submitted a memorandum to the District Magistrate, flagging several long-pending demands and cautioning that protests would follow if the administration failed to act.
The association pointed out that despite repeated appeals to the district administration and transport authorities about worsening traffic congestion in Silchar, no effective measures have been taken. Leaders expressed frustration that their concerns had been ignored for months.
Key demands outlined in the memorandum include setting a 15–16 km operating radius for e-autos similar to petrol autos, making association-issued NOCs compulsory for new e-auto purchases, and creating permanent parking lots or designated stands across the town.
“If our demands are not met within a reasonable time, we will have no choice but to launch a democratic agitation,” the association warned.
Association president Taher Ahmed Mazumder, along with Gopal Banik, Nizam Uddin Laskar, Zakir Hussain Mazumder, Gourab Das, Chandu Das, and other office bearers, were present during the submission.
