Silchar: A successful organisational meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was held at the Cachar District BJP office on Tuesday, bringing together booth presidents and ward in-charges of the Silchar Municipal Board.

The meeting was attended by Assam Pradesh BJP President Dilip Saikia, Guardian Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah, Organisational Secretary G. R. Ravindra Raju, State Vice President Moon Swarnakar, Minister Kaushik Rai, Members of Parliament Parimal Suklabaidya, Kripanath Mallah, and Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, along with MLAs Mihir Kanti Shome, Dipayan Chakraborty, Bijoy Malakar, and Nihar Ranjan Das.

Leaders discussed ways to further strengthen the party’s grassroots network and enhance coordination across municipal wards. Speakers emphasised organisational unity and outreach efforts aimed at deepening public engagement with the BJP’s development agenda.

Addressing the gathering, party leaders said the organisation continues to grow stronger and more people-focused under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. They described his development-oriented policies and political foresight as a guiding force for the party’s ongoing work across Assam.
