Silchar: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat broadcast, Minister Kaushik Rai held a booth-level meeting with BJP workers and residents of Booth 34 under Barthal Ladiyacherra GP in Rajabazar Mandal on Sunday. The discussion focused on a range of local issues that, residents said, have been pending for years.

Rai assured the gathering that several projects will begin soon after formal sanction. These include construction of a Nat Mandir near the Bhairav Temple with an allocation of 10 lakh rupees, a cultural community hall estimated at 35 lakh rupees, a market shed, and a set of local road works.

He added that other unresolved problems in the area would be taken up in the coming days.
