Silchar: The Swami Vivekananda Study Circle of Assam University, Silchar, hosted a Special Talk on the Electoral Roll, bringing together two legal experts for an in-depth look at the ongoing Special Intensive Revision and the larger electoral process.

Advocate Dharmananda Deb, former member of the Foreigners Tribunal, Silchar, and Ratnangkoor Bhattacharjee, Additional Public Prosecutor, Silchar, led the session.

Both speakers underlined why every citizen should review the electoral roll and stay informed about the mechanics of elections, calling it a basic responsibility in a democratic society.

The event was attended by the university community and was supported by Registrar Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath, whose presence added weight to the discussion.

The programme took place at the Bipin Chandra Pal Seminar Hall and closed with an interactive exchange that left participants with a clearer understanding of the subject.

The initiative was organised with support from Assam University Silchar, Assam University Information, the Research Scholars’ Forum, and the Students’ Forum.
