Women, Youth Lead Assam’s Growth, Says Kaushik Rai at Lakhipur Conferences

Lakhipur: Barak Valley Development Department Minister Kaushik Rai on Tuesday said the rise of women power and youth energy is shaping a stronger Assam and a prosperous India. He was speaking at two major events organised by BJP Mahila Morcha and Yuva Morcha under the Lakhipur Assembly constituency.

Around 6,000 women attended the Mahila Conference organised by the Lakhipur Mahila Morcha. Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia was present at the programme along with Minister Rai.

Rai said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, women in Assam are now more aware of their rights and are playing an active role in development, society building, and nation building.

He added that the trust and affection of women towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and the Bharatiya Janata Party is growing stronger day by day. He said the awakening of women power is the foundation of a strong Assam and a developed India in the coming days.

Later, nearly 5,000 youths took part in a Yuva Conference organised by the Lakhipur Yuva Morcha. Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia, BJP Yuva Morcha state president Rakesh Das, and national spokesperson Prem Shukla attended the event along with Minister Rai.

Addressing the gathering, the speakers said youth power is the real strength of the nation and called upon young people to actively contribute to the progress of the state and the country.
