Silchar: Minister Kaushik Rai reviewed the ongoing construction of the Barak Valley Secretariat and inspected the site with officials of the Public Works Department (Building) and representatives of the contracting agencies on December 9. He took stock of the current pace of work and held a detailed review meeting on-site.

Rai asked the department and the contractors to speed up the remaining work and ensure that the project is completed without delay.

The Barak Valley Secretariat is expected to be inaugurated soon by Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is set to dedicate the new administrative complex to the people of the region.
