Silchar: The Tripura government is preparing to host a mega business conclave in July as the state looks to attract more investments and strengthen its industrial growth momentum.

Officials said the initiative comes amid what the government describes as growing investor confidence and a steady increase in industrial proposals across the state.

According to official data, Tripura has signed 394 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 35,140 crore since 2022. Out of these, projects valued at around Rs 5,352 crore have already been grounded, reflecting progress in implementation and industrial expansion.

The upcoming conclave is expected to bring together industrialists, investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders from different parts of the country. The event will focus on showcasing Tripura’s investment potential across sectors such as infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, information technology, food processing and energy.

Government officials said the conclave will also serve as a platform to explore new partnerships, promote ease of doing business and encourage long-term investment in the northeastern state.

The state government has been actively pushing investment-driven policies in recent years with the aim of generating employment opportunities and boosting economic development in Tripura.
