NEW DELHI : Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University and ISIC Multispecialty Hospital have entered into a strategic partnership to strengthen skill development and entrepreneurship in the healthcare sector.
The two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding on December 16 at the ISIC premises in New Delhi, marking the start of a joint effort to design and deliver industry-focused courses for students and healthcare professionals. The collaboration is aimed at addressing skill gaps and aligning academic learning with real-world hospital and clinical practices.
Under the agreement, DSEU and ISIC will jointly develop programs in healthcare management, hospital operations, medical technology innovation, allied health skills, and health-tech entrepreneurship. The idea is simple. Combine DSEU’s focus on skill education and entrepreneurship with ISIC’s on-ground experience in healthcare delivery.

The MoU was signed in the presence of senior leadership from both sides. ISIC was represented by Chairperson Bholi Ahluwalia, Chief Operating Officer Dr Ashish Chandra, Chief Strategy Officer and Board Director Sugandh Ahluwalia, Chief Medical Superintendent Dr Prashant Kulshreshta, and Senior Manager Operations Dr Rimsha Siddiqui.
DSEU was represented by Vice-Chancellor Prof Ashok Kumar Nagawat and Dean and Registrar Prof Gagan Dhawan.
Speaking at the event, Bholi Ahluwalia said the partnership reflects ISIC’s commitment to building future healthcare leaders. She said the collaboration would allow both institutions to create curricula that respond to the changing needs of the healthcare sector and support entrepreneurs looking to build scalable solutions.
Sugandh Ahluwalia highlighted the gap between classroom learning and the realities of modern healthcare. She said ISIC would function as a live learning environment, allowing students to engage directly with real operational and clinical challenges.
ISIC COO Dr Ashish Chandra pointed to demographic changes driving demand for specialised healthcare services. He said the partnership would help develop courses in areas such as geriatrics, chronic disease management, and personalised care, preparing a workforce capable of meeting future healthcare needs.
DSEU Vice-Chancellor Prof Ashok Nagawat described the collaboration as a key step towards building a future-ready workforce. He said the integration of ISIC’s healthcare expertise with DSEU’s skill-based education model would help learners become both job-ready professionals and potential job creators.
Dean and Registrar Prof Gagan Dhawan said the partnership would ensure that academic programmes are closely aligned with industry standards, improving the employability of students and the value of DSEU certifications.
The initiative is expected to strengthen healthcare skill development while supporting national efforts to build a skilled workforce and promote innovation-driven growth in the sector.
