Dibrugarh: A customer in Dibrugarh has lodged a complaint with the Food Safety Department after allegedly finding mould on sweets purchased from a commercial establishment in the HS Road area of the city.

According to the complaint, Bandana Gogoi, a resident of Raning Gate, purchased sweets from Let’s Go, a popular establishment in Dibrugarh, on Wednesday for her family.

Gogoi alleged that after bringing the sweets home and opening the packet, her family noticed a thick layer of mould covering the products. She further claimed that the sweets had developed an unpleasant odour and were unfit for consumption.

Following the incident, Gogoi approached the Food Safety Department and sought appropriate action against the establishment. The complaint has raised concerns over the quality and safety of food products being sold to consumers.
