Silchar: In a formal development ahead of the Assembly Polls, a BJP candidate received the party’s nomination papers on Sunday evening at the district BJP office in Silchar.
The nomination was handed over in the presence of key party leaders, including District BJP President Rupam Saha and Minister Kaushik Rai. Also present on the occasion were Silchar Lok Sabha constituency in-charge and Member of Parliament Dr. Kavita Patidar, MP Kanad Purkayastha, and District BJP General Secretary Gopal Roy.
The event marks an important step in the party’s preparations for the upcoming polls, with senior leaders extending their support and signalling unity at the district level. Party sources said more such organisational activities are expected in the coming days as candidates gear up for the nomination process and campaign trail.
