Silchar: The KRC Foundation has announced the North East Integration Rally (NEIR) Writing Star Contest, a unique writing competition aimed at fostering ideas on peace, progress, and prosperity in India’s North Eastern Region.

The contest, which opened for entries on 9th May 2026 and will continue till November 2026, invites participants from across the country to share their thoughts on key issues concerning the North East.

Open to All Age Groups

The competition is open to students from Class VI to senior citizens, making it one of the most inclusive writing contests in the region. Participants are divided into five categories aligned with the five broad topics.

Five Key Themes

• Participants can submit articles on any of the following topics:
• Infrastructure Development of NER (Roads, Rails, Aviation, Hydropower & Security)
• Promoting Tourism, MSME, Agro & Horticulture, Act East Diplomacy
• Disaster Management, Adventure Sports & Climate Change
• Art & Culture, Theatre, Cinema, Media & Entertainment
• 5E for Success – Promoting Education, Employment, Employability, Entrepreneurship & Emotional Intelligence
• Participants can submit multiple entries on these topics.
• All articles must be written in English.

Exciting Incentives

• Every participant will receive a digital participation certificate.
• There is no entry fee.
• Selected articles will be published on www.krctimes.com, giving writers a valuable platform for recognition.
