New Delhi: The Special Cell of the Delhi Police has busted a major terror module allegedly linked to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), arresting nine persons and recovering a cache of arms, hand grenades and explosives.

According to police sources, the accused were allegedly part of a network involved in planning and coordinating terror-related activities in different parts of the country. During the operation, investigators seized firearms, ammunition, hand grenades and explosive materials from the arrested individuals.

Officials said the module was believed to be operating under the guidance of handlers associated with the Dawood Ibrahim network and the ISI. The arrests were made following extensive surveillance and intelligence-based operations conducted by the Special Cell.

Police have launched a detailed investigation to identify other members of the network and uncover the full extent of the alleged conspiracy. Further arrests and recoveries are expected as the probe progresses.

Security agencies are also examining the group’s links, funding sources and possible targets. The arrested persons have been produced before a court, and further legal proceedings are underway.
