Rajya Sabha Election Process Begins in Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh: The nomination process for the upcoming Rajya Sabha election from Arunachal Pradesh began on June 1 following the issuance of the Election Commission’s notification, officials said.

As per the election schedule, June 8 has been fixed as the last date for filing nomination papers. The scrutiny of nominations will be carried out on June 9, while candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nominations until June 11.

Polling, if necessary, will be conducted on June 18, with the counting of votes scheduled for the same day.

The election is being held to fill the Rajya Sabha seat currently represented by , whose term is set to expire on June 23. Officials said all arrangements are being made to ensure the smooth conduct of the election process in accordance with the Election Commission’s guidelines.
