Silchar: Assam Minister Kaushik Rai on Friday inspected the AMRUT water supply project at Ghungoor in Silchar and reviewed its functioning to assess the quality and efficiency of drinking water services.

During the visit, the minister examined the project’s operations and directed the concerned officials to further streamline and strengthen its implementation to ensure the uninterrupted supply of safe and clean drinking water to residents of Silchar.

Rai stressed the importance of improving service delivery and maintaining high operational standards so that the benefits of the AMRUT project reach every household effectively.

The inspection was attended by Commissioner and Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Affairs (DoHUA) Kavita Padmanabhan, AMRUT Managing Director Sampriti Goswami, former Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty, Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajib Roy, and other officials.
