Sribhumi: Tension prevailed along the India-Bangladesh border in Assam’s Sribhumi district on Friday following an alleged pushback attempt that reportedly led to a face-off between the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).

The incident took place in the Bilbari border area, where the situation remained tense throughout the day as security personnel from both sides closely monitored developments.

According to reports, the confrontation began after an alleged attempt was made to push a group of Bangladeshi nationals towards the New Pallathal area on the Bangladesh side of the international border.
