Restores Vital Border Connectivity

Arunachal Pradesh: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has completed the construction of a 180-foot Bailey bridge in the remote Kurung Kumey district of Arunachal Pradesh, restoring a key road link to forward border areas and further strengthening strategic infrastructure along the India-China frontier.
According to an official statement, BRO personnel worked round the clock under extremely challenging conditions to complete the project. Despite relentless monsoon rains, the constant threat of flash floods and difficult mountainous terrain, the team successfully erected the bridge within a short period.
Officials said the newly constructed triple-double reinforced Bailey bridge will significantly improve connectivity to remote border regions. It is expected to enhance the movement of defence personnel and equipment while also providing an all-weather lifeline for people living in isolated border villages.
The BRO said the project reflects its commitment to developing strategic infrastructure in difficult terrain, ensuring better connectivity, national security preparedness and improved access for local communities in the country’s frontier areas.
