Kohima: Nagaland marked World Youth Skills Day on Tuesday by launching the Japanese Language Centre under the Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM), a major initiative aimed at enhancing the global employability of the state’s youth through Japanese language training.
The centre was inaugurated by Advisor for Higher Education and Technical Education, Temjenmenba, who said the programme would equip Naga youth with language skills needed to access employment opportunities in Japan and other international markets.
Speaking at the launch, he stressed the importance of skill development and entrepreneurship in preparing young people for the demands of a rapidly changing global economy. He encouraged the youth to make full use of such initiatives to improve their career prospects and remain competitive in the international job market.
The Japanese Language Centre is expected to play a key role in expanding overseas employment opportunities for the youth of Nagaland while strengthening the state’s focus on skill development and entrepreneurship.
