Police have reportedly taken the intercepted vehicles and cattle into custody

Nagaon: More than 1,000 cattle were reportedly intercepted during a late-night operation at Rangalu in Jakhalabandha, Nagaon district, police said.
The operation was carried out around midnight on Sunday when Jakhalabandha Police were checking vehicles allegedly involved in illegal cattle transportation.
According to police, they initially came across more than 85 vehicles carrying cattle. Several vehicles allegedly fled the area after their drivers and suspected cattle transporters abandoned them.
Police have reportedly taken the intercepted vehicles and cattle into custody and initiated further investigation into the alleged illegal transportation.
