New Delhi: Three students were killed and five others critically injured after a five-storey boys’ hostel collapsed at Satya Niketan in Delhi on Sunday.

Rescue teams have so far pulled eight people from the rubble. Two students were declared dead at a hospital, while another succumbed to his injuries later.

The injured students are undergoing treatment, with five reported to be in critical condition. Rescue and emergency teams continue to search the debris for people who may still be trapped. Officials have not yet confirmed the exact number of people missing or trapped inside the collapsed building.

The cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained. Further details are awaited as rescue operations continue.
