MANIPUR: A village authority in Manipur has approached the police seeking registration of a Zero FIR following the alleged killing of a 36-year-old civilian lineman in an armed attack in Tamenglong district on Wednesday, September 23.

Goukhoumang Lhouvum, chief of Lasan village, submitted the complaint to the officer-in-charge of Kangpokpi police station, seeking registration of a Zero FIR in connection with the incident.

According to the complaint, the alleged attack took place around 4 am on Wednesday in Lasan, Songpibung and T Kholmun villages, which fall under Tamei police station in Tamenglong district.

The victim was reportedly a civilian lineman. Further details about the circumstances of the attack and the identity of those involved are awaited.
