Silchar: Prominent theatre group Natyangan, established in 2003, is set to organise a week-long theatre workshop from July 1 to 7 at Gurucharan College Hall, targeting young enthusiasts aged 18 to 32.
Announcing the event at a press conference held at Subhash Nagar LP School on Sunday, Natyangan president Shekhar Deb said, “The workshop is designed to offer hands-on training in stagecraft, acting, and theatre production. It’s aimed at building confidence and encouraging deeper artistic engagement.”
Group secretary Biswajit Dutta added that a minimum of 20 participants is needed, and the basic eligibility is a Higher Secondary qualification. Sessions will be held daily from 5 PM to 8 PM, under the guidance of acclaimed theatre director and actor Santanu Paul.
The workshop is production-oriented, and interested candidates are encouraged to contact organisers for early registration. Other theatre members present included Subhajit Das, Debashish (Sayan) Chakraborty, Rupak Chakraborty, Nirmal Rabidas, and Anamika Das.
