SILCHAR : After the temporary bamboo bridge over the Harang River in Bhanga was washed away due to a strong water current, TMC Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev visited the site on Wednesday.

She stated that the intense water flow has once again left locals stranded, with even boat services becoming unsafe.

No progress has been made on the promised permanent bridge, causing growing frustration among residents on both sides of the river. Sushmita Dev urged the government to immediately construct a bridge over the Harang River to end the suffering of the people.
