A person’s character should be determined only by their excellence and not by their colour

We have all seen the clouds that hover above our heads. Some are black while some are white. Have you ever wondered whether these clouds are discriminated for who and what colour they are? I know I have. I wonder that in today’s world if people are judged based on their race then why aren’t the clouds?

Colourism is rampant in many parts of the world including India. India is well known for its diversity but, every rose has a thorn. Well, not only in India but in other places too we have experienced that people are treated based on their skin tone. Whether you talk about a school where not only dark-skinned people are ignored but are also made fun of or when you talk about workplaces. Everywhere people are judged based on their colour but they don’t even try to know each other. That should stop!

I think the clouds are not judged by their colour but by their merits. Somewhere white clouds are praised because of the clear and calm sky but in other places, they are judged because they can’t cover up the sun but rather heat up our environment. Furthermore, black clouds are admired by many as it brings rain, cools the environment and help in crop production. On the other hand, they are hated because more rain means floods and damage to crops and houses.

Here we can see that clouds are special in their own way. Hence, both white and black clouds are important. Like so, everyone is special and has their own traits. Accordingly, a person’s character should be determined only by their excellence and not by their colour.
