Talking about Northeast India, Dr. Singh advocated that we have many unique products and each state can showcase its products. Citing examples of Assam Tea and Manipuri Polo, he said similarly each NE state has something to showcase and in the G20 presidency, we now have the opportunity to highlight our rich unique culture and way of life. We have to be conscious of our culture, sustainability of climate and best practices of our country needs to be exposed, he echoes.

On Act East Policy Dr. Singh reiterated that the policy is a facilitator in terms of investment in infrastructure, and communication and NE states have to take advantage of it. Earlier NE was termed as landlocked but now with the vision of PM Modi giving sincere attention to the region, it has become land-linked. People have to take advantage of it. Entrepreneurs and investors have to come and invest. Holistically states should use the facilitation provided by Act East Policy.
