According to officials, two deaths were confirmed initially, while another body was recovered later during rescue operations. Authorities fear the death toll may rise further, as at least seven workers remain missing and are believed to be trapped beneath the debris.
The landslide occurred following days of incessant rainfall in the district, which has triggered concerns over the stability of the hilly terrain. Rescue teams, including personnel from various emergency agencies, are continuing search operations despite difficult weather conditions.
Officials are closely monitoring the situation as efforts continue to locate the missing workers and provide assistance to those injured.
