BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut has sparked controversy after posting a series of Instagram Stories in which she criticised what she described as the behaviour of some young Hindu women. Referring to them as “Generation Gutter”, the Mandi MP made remarks about their lifestyles, education and personal choices.

In one of her posts, Ranaut wrote, “Most appalling is the behaviour of young Hindu women, who want to imitate the lives of independent career women, without earning that freedom.” She also described what she called a “new generation of so-called westernised Indian women”, saying, “I call them Generation Gutter.”

Ranaut further claimed that many young women are “not good at studies” and criticised what she sees as a growing trend of seeking independence without hard work or responsibility. Her comments have triggered widespread discussion on social media, with many users criticising her remarks as unfair and offensive, while others defended her views.

The BJP leader’s statements have once again placed her at the centre of a public debate, with reactions continuing to pour in across social media platforms.
