CAU organises Agri Vision for Agripreneurs of NE India

Directorate of Extension Education, Central Agricultural University Imphal organized a one-day conclave on ‘Agri Vision for Agripreneurs of North East India’ at the institute’s headquarters complex in Lamphel on Wednesday. Secretary Deendayal Research Institute (DRI) New Delhi, Atul Jain, Senior Scientist Horticulture, Dr Amit Goswami along with various investors and delegates participated in the conclave. 

As part of the programme an exhibition and three research books were also released. Speaking at the conclave, Vice Chancellor CAU Imphal, Dr. Anupam Mishra said the programme will help bring a new dimension of progress to the farming community through the discussions and interaction among the investors, farmers, students, FPOs, start-ups and Entrepreneurs. 

Speaking to the media, the Director of Extension Education CAU Imphal, Professor Ph Ranjit Sharma said the conclave is organised to provide a platform to establish marketing linkages for the various sections of the community. He said the conclave is participated by FPOs, Startup and Entrepreneurs of all states of North East excluding Assam.  

Later in the evening in a programme a Coffee Table Book on cultural traditions around nutrition in India was presented and Atul Jain, Secretary DRI gave a presentation detailing the background of the coffee table and its content. He also informed that as the work is in progress a portal will be available where everyone can access the details and will be updated.
