Silchar MLA Acknowledges Support

Silchar : In a heartwarming initiative to honour the legacy of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, several individuals have stepped forward with generous contributions towards the construction of a new statue in Silchar.
Among the notable donors, Arnab Chakraborty, President of Aastha Foundation, along with his wife Puja Chakraborty, handed over a cheque of Rs 50,000 for the cause. Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty expressed heartfelt gratitude for their generous gesture, describing it as a powerful reflection of citizens’ enduring respect for Netaji and his ideals.
Adding to the efforts, Sangita Singh, an AP member of Rakhal Khalerlpar Gaon Panchayat, and Pintu Singh, jointly donated Rs 10,000. The MLA, speaking on behalf of the Netaji Statue Reconstruction and Installation Committee, conveyed sincere thanks for their noble support.
“I would also like to express special appreciation for the BJP Cachar District Mahila Morcha, whose inspiring initiative has significantly contributed to this mission,” the MLA added. “My gratitude goes out to District President Mitra Roy and all members of the Morcha for their financial assistance.”
He also praised the enthusiastic participation of the youth in this effort. “A special mention must be made of Rohit Choudhury a bright and promising young boy who has donated Rs 5,000 to this noble cause,” he noted.
Furthermore, the Committee extended its thanks to Abhijit Deb, a dedicated youth from Dholcherra in Katigorah, for his generous financial contribution to the statue construction effort.
