New Delhi: Founding President of the Cockroach Janta Party, Abhijeet Dipke, on Wednesday strongly condemned the alleged police lathi-charge on protesters, describing the action as “very brutal” and announcing that legal action would be initiated against the officers involved.

Speaking on the 34th day of the ongoing protest, Dipke said the movement would continue until the protesters’ demands are fulfilled. He also highlighted that activist Sonam Wangchuk’s hunger strike has entered its 26th day.

Expressing concern over Wangchuk’s health, Dipke appealed to him to end his fast, stating that while the agitation would continue, they could not afford to risk his life.

“The movement will go on until our demands are met, but Sonam Wangchuk’s life is precious. We request him to end his hunger strike,” Dipke said. He also reiterated the party’s commitment to pursuing legal action over the alleged police action against the protesters.
