These tools will be a game-changer in monitoring the developmental activities of Central Government Ministries/Departments in North Eastern Region of India

KRC TIMES National Bureau

Steadfast in his commitment towards ushering prosperity in the North Eastern Region, PM Narendra Modi had said “It is my conviction to bring the North-East at par with the other developed regions of the country.”

Moving forward with this vision, the Minister of State, for DoNER, B. L. Verma virtually launched “MDoNER Data Analytics Dashboard” and  “Poorvottar Sampark Setu”  portal at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on Thursday.

“MDoNER Data Analytics Dashboard” has the data of 112 schemes across 55 Departments and Ministries. It will help in (a) Data driven decision making; (b) Ease of operations; (c) Centralized monitoring; (d) Policy level decision tool; and (e) Information integration. It will keep a close watch on NER Aspirational districts, North East border districts, and the most backward districts in NER. Creating a benchmark for key performance indicators of schemes in NER, the Dashboard will be equipped with the latest innovations in e-governance and display information across multiple departments and Ministries on a single platform.

The “Poorvottar Sampark Setu”  portal, is a powerful tool designed to streamline and enhance monitoring of fortnightly visits of Union Ministers to NER. The dashboard provides valuable insights and graphical information about State-wise/ District-wise visits to the North Eastern Region by Union Ministers to be used by all the stakeholders in one place. The portal generates a curated list of Ministers who can be nominated for a visit to NER in the upcoming months. This list is dynamic and takes into account several factors to streamline the visits. After the visit, the Minister can submit their tour reports along with their recommendations online. MDoNER can forward the recommendations to respective line Ministries/Departments/State Governments for quick action, after analyzing the same. The Portal generates the summary report on the visits by a single click.

This initiative is set to redefine the landscape of Ministerial visits, meticulously crafted to elevate their efficacy, transparency, and profound influence. Its fundamental mission is to unequivocally ensure that the benefits of Central Government Schemes should reach to every citizen in the North East Region of India.

Speaking on the occasion, MoS, MDoNER expressed his appreciation for the development of these tools.  He said that the effect of visits of the PM and other Union Ministers visit is visible in the progress of the North East Region. He hoped that MDoNER would continue its endeavour of using new and innovative technologies for the benefit of each and every person in the North East Region.

The Launch event was attended by  Chanchal Kumar, Secretary, MDoNER, Senior Officers of MDoNER, Head of Organisations under MDoNER, Chief Secretaries and Planning Advisers of North Eastern States, Senior Officers of NICSI & NIC and Senior Officers of various Central Ministries/Departments.
