A mobile RT-PCR test lab would be provided to Haflong Civil Hospital

Considering the present Covid situation in Dima Hasao and as a Rongali Bihu gift the Haflong Civil Hospital is getting a mobile RT-PCR test lab and two more new 108 Ambulances and other facilities etc, informed Dr Dipali Barman, Joint Director, Dima Hasao Health Services on Friday.

Dr Barman interacting with the media person disclosed that the Principal Secretary to the government of Assam, Health & Family Welfare Department Samir Sinha, was on his two-day maiden visit to Haflong on Thursday and Friday.

On Thursday he held a meeting with the Dima Hasao Medical officials wherein Sinha assured them to provide two new 108 Ambulances and four numbers of old ambulances to be replaced. Haflong Civil Hospital was having 10 Ambulances but most of them were old. He also assured to transfer three doctors who are now working in Karbi Anglong and willing to come to Dima Hasao. She also informed that for the time being a mobile RT-PCR test lab would be provided to Haflong Civil Hospital. Earlier the tests were done some time at Silchar Medical College or at Diphu Medical college which causes inconveniences to get the result timely.

On Friday Sinha visited the Haflong Civil Hospital and assured some more facilities to be provided to HCH in fighting Covid in the district. The visit of high profile officials related to medical services at a time of crisis, widely appreciated by the people as well as the Medical department.
