Silchar: The Cachar District Administration on Tuesday held the fortnightly meeting of the District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee (DLAMC) to review the progress of Aadhaar packet verification and address pending applications. The meeting was chaired by Hemanga Nobis, ACS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Cachar.
The session focused on assessing the current status of verification activities on the State Government’s Aadhaar portal. Nobis expressed concern over the existing backlog and instructed all Circle Officers to strictly follow the Government’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure prompt and accurate service delivery.
Emphasising the administration’s commitment to citizen-centric governance, ADC Nobis directed officials to identify and resolve any bottlenecks in the verification process. He urged for timely processing of all pending applications and sought active cooperation from the police department in facilitating smooth Aadhaar verification across the district.
Key stakeholders present at the meeting included Hemen Das, APS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), as well as Circle Officers from the Silchar (Sadar), Udharbond, Lakhipur, and Sonai revenue circles. Other officials from the Cachar District Administration also participated in the deliberations.
The district authorities reaffirmed their dedication to ensuring hassle-free Aadhaar services, aiming to enable every citizen to access welfare schemes and government benefits linked to Aadhaar without undue delay.
