Silchar: In a major anti-drug operation, Cachar Police apprehended an alleged drug peddler at Singerbond under Lakhipur Police Station based on secret information.

Police seized five soap cases containing 62 grams of suspected heroin from the accused. One motorcycle and a mobile handset were also recovered during the operation.
