New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced by-elections for eight Assembly constituencies across six states, with polling to be conducted in two phases in April.

According to the schedule released by the poll body, the first phase of voting will be held on April 9. The constituencies going to polls in this phase include 28-Koridang (ST) in Nagaland, 56-Dharmanagar in Tripura, 21-Ponda in Goa, and two seats in Karnataka—24-Bagalkot and 107-Davanagere South. The notification for this phase will be issued on March 16.
