Kaliabor: Keshab Mahanta, Assam Cabinet Minister and MLA from Kaliabor, laid the foundation stone for the “Zubeen Greens” inter-village development project at Kuwaritol on Saturday.

The project aims to create a cultural and community space dedicated to arts, sports and youth activities, offering local residents a common platform for learning, interaction and social events.

According to officials, the initiative has been conceived as a tribute to the legacy of renowned Assamese singer and artist Zubeen Garg. The proposed space is expected to encourage cultural expression while also promoting sports and youth engagement in the area.

Speaking at the event, Mahanta said the project would serve as an important centre for community activities and cultural exchange among villages in the region.

Local residents and community representatives were present at the programme, expressing hope that the initiative would strengthen cultural ties and provide new opportunities for young people in the area.
