Tinsukia: A devastating fire has destroyed the home of a family at Goipani Basti under Doomdooma Police jurisdiction, leaving them in severe distress and without basic necessities.

The incident took place a few days ago when a sudden blaze engulfed the hut of 52-year-old Bikram Bhumij. The fire reduced most household belongings to ashes. Though parts of the structure are still standing, the family has lost nearly everything they owned.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be known. “We have nothing left. I appeal to the administration to help us rebuild our home,” Bhumij said, seeking urgent support. The family is now struggling to cope, as they remain without shelter and essential items in the aftermath of the incident.
