BIJNI: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Executive Member Hagrama Mohilary drew attention on Wednesday with his reaction to the mention of the ‘Cockroach Party’, laughing before describing it as a political party.

Mohilary made the remarks while attending the Bijni Youth Festival 2026 as the chief guest at the Bijni District Sports Association ground in Chirang district.

During the interaction, Mohilary also recalled his early days and said he had once wanted to take part in an agitation. He revealed that he left his engineering studies after just two days because he wanted to join the movement.

His remarks about the ‘Cockroach Party’ and his recollection of his student days became notable moments during the programme.
