Kohima /Nagaland : The Indian Army in collaboration with civil administration, police, paramilitary, and industry stakeholders conducted major exercises under ‘Samanvay Shakti – Military Civil Fusion’ to strengthen preparedness and protect critical energy infrastructure in Assam and Manipur.

At OIL India’s Hebeda Collection Station, Makum in Tinsukia, Assam a joint security drill simulated an insurgent attack. The exercise included room intervention, bomb disposal, casualty evacuation, fire-fighting, oil spillage control, and damage assessment.

At Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Digboi, Assam a counter-drone exercise rehearsed a response to a simulated kamikaze drone strike.

At Coal India Limited, Ledo, Assam the Army in collaboration with CIL and Assam Industrial Security Force successfully conducted a comprehensive joint exercise to enhance security response, disaster preparedness, and public awareness.

Similarly interactions between Army Officials and IAS, Dy Commissioner, SP, Bishnupur, District Education Land, Irrigation, Loktak Development Authority, Revenue, Water and National Hydroelectric Power Corporation, Loktak were conducted, IAS gave a presentation on Resettlement of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and the SP gave a talk on Aspects pertaining to Narcotics Act/Narcotics Control and Booking of person causing Arson against Armed Forces. T

o commemorate it, a Mil-Civ Fusion Conclave was held at Imphal East District of Manipur. The conclave featured various tabletop exercises, coordinated joint drills, and synergised interactions, enhancing mutual collaboration and joint preparedness for unforeseen contingencies. These exercises reinforced military–civil synergy, validated inter-agency coordination, and built public confidence in safeguarding Assam and Manipur’s vital installations.
