NEWS 1– The barricade opened after 6 days. Assam vehicles have started plying from today through Meghalaya. The situation in Meghalaya became heated last Tuesday after six people were killed in firing on Karbi Anglong- Meghalaya border. Now that the situation has improved a little and so this decision has been taken.

NEWS 2- The Assam Cabinet meeting is starting in Silchar on Tuesday. For this, Silchar city has been made hawker free. All kinds of preparations are going on. It has been decided where a minister will stay. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma will be at Silchar Circuit House.

Two ministers Piyush Hazarika and Jayant Malla Barua will be with him in the circuit house. Tight security arrangements have been made for the Cabinet meeting. Cachar Superintendent of Police Numal Mahatta said that some changes have been made to the traffic system.

NEWS 3- A girl Gang-raped by luring her to travel A 16-year-old girl was gang-raped by her lover and another friend by luring her to travel. The incident took place on November 20 in Barkhola of Cachar district in Assam. In this regard, the grandmother of the girl filed a complaint at the Barkhlola police station. Case number 210/22 has been registered by the police under section 376 (d)/362/34 of the Indian Penal Code. But the police have not yet arrested any accused, complained the grandmother of the girl.

NEWS 4- 20 people were injured after a footbridge collapsed at a railway station in Maharashtra’s Chandpur. No death has been reported so far. Some were seriously injured. The condition of 8 people is said to be critical. This 60 feet food bridge suddenly collapsed. The accident took place when the passengers were going from platform number 1 to platform number 4 of the railway station.

NEWS 5– A child died without treatment in Karimganj Civil Hospital, and the family members of the child raised such a complaint. Giving details of the incident, Chubur Ali of the Tilabazar area near the town said that at four o’clock in the morning on Sunday, they took a sick child aged 1 month and 23 days to Karimganj Civil Hospital for treatment.

They alleged that after taking the child there on the advice of a local doctor they did not find any doctor in the hospital, and even the nurses on duty did not pay any attention. Moreover, the family members told the media that the child was kept on the floor of the hospital. Chubur Ali told reporters that after the baby died at 8 am, the nurses took the dead baby to the ICU.

NEWS 6– The names of the Cachar, Karimganj, and Hailakandi districts are not on the list of Mission Bhumiputras’ official portal. These angered Assam Chah and the former Cha Janjati Jalha Samaj. The officials of Jalha Samaj called a press conference at Silchar Press Club and expressed their anger. They said that people of Jalha community were included in OBC.

The people of the Jalha community are facing various problems as the names of Barak’s three districts are missing from the portal. The students are not able to apply for OBC. They drew the attention of the Chief Minister to include Barak’s Jalha community in the portal. General Secretary Hakim Uddin, Rahim Uddin Sheikh, Zahar Uddin, Qutb Uddin, and others were present at the press conference.
