NEWS 1- The film Kashmir Files is not suitable for screening in international film festivals. It is a propaganda and devotional movie. International Film Festival Jury Committee President Najam Laped
made this comment. He said such movies are not eligible to be shown in international film festivals. This movie has no artistic value.

Laped’s comments have already started an uproar in political circles. Actor Anupam Kher and Kashmir File director Vivek Agnihotri criticized him. Sudipta Sen, another member of the jury committee, said this was Laped’s own statement.

NEWS 2- Greenfield airport at Dolu has been approved by the Airport Authority. The approval of the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation is now required. Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said this at a press conference in Silchar today.

He said an initial success was achieved with the construction of the airport at Dolu. The greenfield airport will be finalized once it receives the green signal from the Ministry of Civil Aviation. After the Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister went to Dulu and faced protests from the workers.

NEWS 3- The traditional GC College of Silchar is being upgraded to University. This decision was taken in the Assam Cabinet meeting held at Silchar. In a press conference after the cabinet meeting, the chief minister said that the college has been upgraded to university status. Henceforth it will be run as a university. Talking about some other decisions of the cabinet, he said that there will be a flyover from Ramnagar to Tank Road in Silchar.

Super Specialty Block will be constructed in Silchar Medical College which will cost Rs.227 crore. This block will have 200 beds. The Chief Minister announced a bunch of other projects for the Barak valley region.

NEWS 4- The state government has sanctioned Rs. 650 crores for a medical college adjacent to Ramakrishnanagar town, the center point of Ratabari assembly constituency in Karimganj district.

The much awaited proposed medical college of Karimganj district is finally coming up at the designated place near Ramakrishnanagar town, the center point of Ratabari assembly constituency. It was finally sealed by the Assam Cabinet headed by Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma.

In the cabinet meeting held in Silchar city on Tuesday, the state government announced the sanction of Rs. 650 Crore. With this announcement, a wave of happiness was observed in Ramakrishnanagar town of Assembly Constituency. Ramakrishnanagar City Mandal BJP office premises, BJP workers, and people of the city expressed their happiness by bursting firecrackers.

NEWS 5- A Housekeeper’s body recovered half-naked from toilet and has caused quite a stir in Bantarapur, Galasina Bazar area of Sundari GP Bantarapur village of Kachudaram police station area in the Cachar district of Assam.

Family members suspect murder.

The incident took place around 10 am on Tuesday. Bacha Singh, a resident of Bantarapur village, lives in Mizoram on business. And his wife Shyama Singh lives alone at home and they engaged Namita Rai as a housekeeper. In the morning, the half-naked body of the housekeeper was recovered from the toilet of the house.
