Imphal :The two-day Manipur Art Festival began on Saturday at the Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) Complex in Imphal, promising a spectacular showcase of artistic talent and cultural heritage. The festival was inaugurated by esteemed senior artists Ch. Premananda Roy, Ksh Sarat Singh and Chandam Lalit Singh setting the tone for a weekend of creativity and innovation.

A highlight of the event was the participation of six Internally Displaced People (IDP) artistes, who captivated the audience with their performances. The festival features 11 art stalls, each showcasing diverse art forms, including art exhibitions, fashion installations, face painting, and photography.
Attendees can look forward to interactive workshops, engaging children’s activities, and a delightful array of local culinary delights. The event is organised by R&V Art House, with Robin Wahengbam, Director and Co-founder, revealing that the main motive behind the festival is to provide a platform for local artists to showcase their talent, aligning with the agenda of “Art for All.”
This marks the fourth edition of the Manipur Art Festival. Previous editions were held in 2018, 2019, and a virtual edition in 2023. The festival promises to be an unforgettable experience, celebrating the rich artistic heritage of Manipur and beyond.
