Imphal: Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla has summoned the eighth session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly from September 2 at 11 am. The session will be held at the Assembly Hall in Imphal.

The session has been summoned under Article 174(1) of the Constitution of India. Although the date and time have been announced, the total number of sittings and the detailed agenda are yet to be finalised.

The upcoming session comes at a time when Manipur continues to face a challenging political and security situation. As a result, the proceedings of the Assembly are expected to attract close attention. The issues to be taken up during the session are likely to become clearer once the government finalises the agenda and business schedule.
