IMPHAL: The Manipur unit of the INDIA bloc has urged Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla to ensure the arrest of those allegedly involved in an attack in Imphal East and take urgent steps to strengthen civilian security in the state.

In a memorandum submitted to the Governor, the opposition alliance called for strict enforcement of rules governing armed groups and demanded a time-bound plan to restore peace and normalcy.

The INDIA bloc stressed the need for stronger security measures to protect civilians and prevent further incidents of violence. It also called for accountability in the investigation into the alleged Imphal East attack.

The alliance urged the state authorities to take concrete steps to improve the security situation and ensure that those responsible for the incident are brought to justice. The memorandum comes amid continuing concerns over law and order in Manipur, where efforts to restore lasting peace remain a major challenge.
