Imphal | The inaugural function of the 6-Day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) under StartUp Manipur 2.0 was held on August 4, 2026, at the IT SEZ, Mantripukhri.
Organised by CubeTen Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with the Planning Department, Government of Manipur, the intensive capacity-building initiative is tailored for beneficiaries selected under the Chief Minister’s Entrepreneurship Support Scheme (CMESS). The programme aims to provide aspiring local entrepreneurs with the vital skills, strategic mindset, and practical knowledge required to build and scale sustainable business ventures.

The opening ceremony drew prominent figures from state administration and industry. Chief Guest R.K. Radhesana Devi, Director of the Department of Planning, Government of Manipur, stressed that robust training initiatives are foundational for converting grassroots potential into structured, job-creating enterprises.
R.K. Tombisana Singh, Joint Director of the Planning Department, who was the Guest of Honour, outlined the financial assistance frameworks and institutional mechanisms available via CMESS.
Guest of Honour T. Bidyarani Devi, Joint Director (Administration) for Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, focused on high-growth rural verticals such as dairy, poultry, and piggery, encouraging participants to leverage departmental technical support.
Haobam Joyremba, Managing Director of CubeTen Technologies Pvt. Ltd., in his Presidential address, highlighted the role of local resource utilisation and innovation. He also spotlighted CubeTen’s journey and its official capacity as a designated State Incubation Centre under StartUp Manipur 2.0, reaffirming the firm’s commitment to mentoring regional startups.
Following the formal inauguration, the academic schedule commenced with an interactive technical session led by Dr. Sorokhaibam Keshorit Singh, Assistant Professor at the Manipur Institute of Management Studies (MIMS), Manipur University. His lecture, titled “Entrepreneurship: Concepts, Characteristics and Opportunities,” introduced participants to core competencies, market opportunity identification, leadership, and risk management.
The 6-day programme will continue to provide participants with intensive mentorship, industry insights, and strategic planning tools designed to strengthen Manipur’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem.
