Khoupum, Loktak and Mantripukhri Battalions of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Spear Corps along with Manipur Police apprehended two insurgents of KCP(N) and one insurgent of PREPAK(PRO) in Bishnupur and Imphal West districts on 14 and 15 December.
Based on specific intelligence from reliable sources, Security Forces along with Manipur Police launched three operations and apprehended the individuals. One hand grenade was also recovered from one of the KCP(N) insurgent from Bishnupur market.
The insurgents along with recovered items were handed over to Manipur Police for further investigation.
