Vocational Stream Tops with 95.23% Pass Rate

Shillong: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) on Monday declared the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination results for 2026, bringing relief and anticipation to thousands of students across the state.

The examinations were conducted between February 18 and March 13.

This year, pass percentages remained strong across all streams. Arts recorded a pass rate of 88.63%, Commerce stood at 87.49%, Science at 83.70%, while the Vocational stream topped the list with an impressive 95.23%.

Reacting to the results, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma congratulated the successful candidates. In a message shared on social media, he said the achievement reflected the students’ hard work, discipline, and determination, along with the support of parents, teachers, and institutions.

The declaration of results marks a key academic milestone for students, many of whom will now move on to higher education and professional courses.
