An incident happened on Sunday morning where two siblings, 3 years and 5 years of age were found roaming aimlessly near the  Indo-Myanmar Friendship Bridge.

They were lucky to be noticed by the Assam Rifles. The siblings aged 3 years and 5 years had lost their way from Haolenphai Village. Engrossed in their playing, they ended up 3.5 kms away from their village. On the other side, their grandfather and villagers were worried and started looking for them since morning. Their grandfather started raising an alarm while their parents were not aware of their missing since they were busy in Sunday mass.

It was indeed a miracle  or faith or by a mere chance  that these kids were spotted by the Assam Rifles troops from Moreh battalion which was deployed at the Indo-Myanmar Friendship Bridge, around 7:45am .

Seeing their body language the troops approached and inquired about their well-being and where they belong, about their residence. But the kids couldn’t convey any piece of information.

Without loosing time the AR troops of 26 Sector which is under IGAR (South) contacted the locals where two persons later luckily identified these kids and confirmed they were from Haolenphai Village.

Breakfast was offered to the kids and later the company commander along with his troops handed over them to their family.
The villagers and the family appreciated  such heroic and humane act by the AR troops .
