Aizawl: A 41-year-old woman from Myanmar was arrested in Aizawl with an 82-gram gold biscuit worth around Rs 13 lakh, an official said on Friday.

The arrest was made during a joint operation by the Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police in Zuangtui, located on the northern outskirts of Aizawl.

During the operation, security personnel recovered an 82-gram gold biscuit from the woman. The arrested woman is a Myanmar national. Further investigation is underway to determine the source of the gold and its intended destination.
